On Monday the 1st of October we attended Tia Marias international coffee day celebration.
Not only did we sit on a rooftop in Sydney overlooking the beautiful harbour and Opera House, we had free flowing Tia Maria cocktails.
You cant really go past the classic Tia Maria Espresso Martini.. but we have discovered a new fave, Tia Marias “Iced Popcorn Frappe”.
Make our new favourite with:
50ML TIA MARIA
DOUBLE SHOT ESPRESSO
20ML POPCORN SYRUP
Pour the Tia Maria, espresso, milk and popcorn syrup into a shaker. Add ice and shake the ingredients together. Using a strainer, pour contents into a latté glass full of ice. Top with the fresh popcorn and add a straw to serve.
It’s like an alcoholic dare.. yum!!
We took mum and dad along too.. dad could go past the classic espresso martini, so heres how to make this Tia Maria, well loved classic:
25ML TIA MARIA
DOUBLE OR SINGLE SHOT OF ESPRESSO
5ML OF SUGAR SYRU
Fill a martini glass with ice and set aside to chill. Pour Tia Maria, vodka and espresso into a cocktail shaker. Fill the rest of the shaker with ice. Shake the ingredients together. Empty the martini glass of ice. Pour in the contents of the shaker using a strainer and sieve into the glass. Finish with three coffee beans.
